Now open through May 25th, the Foundry Art Centre is home to the Regional High School Student Show, which features artwork by senior Tessa Kathriner ’24!
High school students from across the St. Charles – St. Louis region were invited to submit to this juried, all-media exhibition with the unique opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a professional gallery setting. Accepted works were curated by the Foundry Art Centre’s director of exhibitions, Jessica Mannisi.
Out of nearly 162 accepted entries, Tessa was awarded “Best in Show” for her mixed media painting “Push it Under the Bed,” as judged and selected by Jared Minnick, a regional professional artist and owner of 31art Gallery.
Tessa has thrived in Ursuline’s Art Program, tailoring her path in the arts with Independent Study courses under the guidance of Mrs. Lisa Payne, Honors Studio Art, and Photography just in her senior year. Fostering her talents, Tessa has been able to forge her own path gaining confidence and learning new skills all throughout her Ursuline journey.
This exhibition is free and open to the public through May 25 at 520 N. Main Center | St. Charles, MO 63301.
Congratulations to Tessa on this incredible achievement!
