Cara Wigmore Graff | Board Profile

Ursuline Academy alumnae consistently demonstrate a commitment to a lifelong sisterhood and to following the example of service embodied by St. Angela. With these roots in the Ursuline charism and professional expertise arising out of varied careers, our alumnae are also making important contributions as members of the Ursuline Academy Board of Trustees.

Cara Wigmore Graff, Class of 2011, is making her mark as Chair of the Advancement Committee and an important voice in the future of Ursuline. She is a connector of both people and resources that allows Ursuline to further its reach into the community.

Cara Wigmore Graff '11 and her husband Thomas Graff Jr.

In reflecting upon her UA years, Cara speaks fondly of friends she met on her first day in the cafeteria who continue to be her best friends today. And as is true of today’s students, she’s unable to hear the Miley Cyrus song “Party in the USA” without changing the lyrics to “Party in the BIG UA.”

Cara shares, “My reason for serving on the UA Board of Trustees is simple: Serviam. I felt called to give back my time and financial resources to the institution that gave me so much as a young woman… I find it inspiring that, through every decision the board makes, we come together with the guidance of prayer and a shared sense of purpose for the young women at UA… I have also enjoyed learning about the plans to ensure UA’s future through the strategic plan and fundraising campaigns.”

Allison Oberkirsch, Director of Advancement at Ursuline, is appreciative of Cara’s leadership on the Advancement Committee. Cara has thoughtfully recruited new committee members and has conveyed her passion for UA to inspire the committee to help secure Ursuline’s next 175 years.

Cara is an outstanding ambassador for today’s students as well as a thoughtful participant adding her professional knowledge to the Board’s decision-making process. We are all grateful for the gifts she so willingly shares.
