Each year in the weeks leading up to Induction, our freshman class takes part in a lesson plan called the Ursuline Heritage Tour, in which they learn about the history of our school, the Ursuline Sisters and St. Angela Merici. These lessons take part in our theology classes and are led by faculty and an Ursuline Sister. This year, Sr. Mary Ann Dooling, osu, returned to campus on behalf of the Sisters and led this tour around school, sharing her vocation, and how the Ursulines and those lay people carry on the charism of St. Angela. By taking this time to focus on the Ursuline mission, each freshman class can better understand the legacy they are becoming a part of and being celebrated at their Induction ceremony. It serves as a symbol for carrying our candle and lighting our world.
We are grateful to have the Ursuline Sisters close by and as a resource to our students and school experience.
