In September 2024, Ursuline Academy’s 24-25 Troupe Barlume Officers attended the Missouri Thespian Leadership Conference in Jefferson City. Our students had the opportunity to participate in numerous workshops on varying topics from leadership, program skills, intensives, and more!
As part of last year’s 175th Anniversary of Ursuline Academy St. Louis, the Performing Arts Department rechartered the school’s International Thespian Society Active Membership after 25 years, under Thespian Troupe #5756 with the name Troupe Barlume (Italian for glimmer). International Thespian Society (ITS) is a National Honors Society that recognizes the work, creativity, and achievements of students involved in theater.
Last Spring an official induction ceremony was held to celebrate all current members, induct student officers, and begin the new tradition for years to come.
