The Ursuline Academy Alumnae Associate was thrilled to welcome Kristen Carver ’12, the Live Experience Manager & Matchday Correspondent for St. Louis CITY SC, onto campus to speak to students during an all-school assembly. Starting from her time as a student, Kristen shared how she became interested in journalism through Ursuline’s Broadcast program, UA Today.
From there, Kristen went on to study journalism at Arizona State University, where she got involved in as much as she could to get a wide understanding of not only her career, but how it could fit in with her interests and passion. She shared the importance of internships and being open to exploring different paths in a career, especially one in journalism, and how that put her on a path to sports broadcasting.
Now being a part of this new historical team in St. Louis, things have fallen into place. “It makes me emotional thinking about my high school self seeing me now,” she shared reflecting on her presentation.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Ursuline Academy. I can’t thank this school, its teachers, and my fellow Bears enough.”
